This piece, from a series titled Measured Calm, was exhibited in February 2017 at Loop Gallery, Toronto. Sweeping gestural brushstrokes intermingle with organic life forms, conjuring earthly gardens, romantic floral arrangements or aquatic forests. Geometric shapes resembling building blocks transform into organic shapes. Rather than obliterating the natural living things, the geometric shapes appear to be replicating themselves and learning how to grow alongside the natural world.
